
Nathan Avrunin has been practicing law since 1998. He began his career at the Office of the State Attorney, 17th Judicial Circuit as the Assistant State Attorney. Mr. Avrunin spent more than seven years as a prosecutor and became the Lead Felony Prosecutor. He represented a multitude of clients covering cases such as sexual battery, stalking, child abuse, and DUIs during his four years spent working in the sexual battery and child abuse unit.
Mr. Avrunin also took on the responsibility of being a lecturer for the Prosecutor DUI School.
By the end of his time at the Office of the State Attorney, Mr. Avrunin had been promoted to a Supervisor in County Court and had gained the responsibility of supervising new attorneys. He focused mainly on recidivist DUI offenders and high profile cases – often involving celebrities.
Following his seven years at the Office of the State Attorney, Mr. Avrunin served on the Trial Division for the In-house Counsel of the United Automobile Insurance Company from 2005-2006.
Amidst transitioning, he partnered with Emilio R. Stillo, a former colleague at the State Attorney’s Office, and formed a Private Law Firm, South Florida Trial Lawyers, specializing in Personal Injury Protection litigation.
Mr. Avrunin and his partner are experienced in Civil Litigation and Criminal Defense. Their practice offers legal services under both categories. Civil Litigation covers automobile accidents, slip and fall, hurricane claims, negligent security, and more. Criminal Defense covers DUIs, driving offenses, traffic tickets and more.
He also practices law in the state of Maryland.
